Secrets of Article Writing - 3-Step Formula to Writing Articles Like the Big Boys

If you look at any professionally written article online today, you will find certain characteristics used by the pros, i.e. that the title is very compelling, that the article is written in a certain format, that the article is of a certain word count and it contains a bio at the end.

These articles are written by either semi or professional writers, people who have written articles previously and know what it takes to construct an article that will get read. This is the way that the big boys write their articles online, and these articles are continuously clicked even after 12 or 18 months after submission.

What this means is that an article written today will continually bring in subscribers to your website even a year later. And if you add that with all the articles that you have written previously, you can understand why it is so vitally important to write and submit articles on a regular basis.

So if you are wanting to create articles like the big boys, then take the following steps:

1. You need to determine the topic, create a title and draft some notes before you start writing. Now, the easiest way to determine your topic is to try and think of the most common query that people in your particular niche are asking. You can find this information by logging into forums or taking a look at the e-mails that you receive from your subscribers. So what is the number one question at the moment that subscribers are asking? Take that question and turn it into the topic of your next article. It doesn't matter what niche or topic you are writing about. You should have an answer for the queries.

Then once you have created the topic, you need to create a compelling or intriguing title, a title that will get potential subscribers to want to click and read the whole of your article. You could write a list of potentially compelling titles if you wish. Don't forget to include your keyword or keyword phrase at the beginning. An excellent way to construct your title would be as follows: "How To Write Articles". Once you have created your topic and your title, you are then ready to draft some notes for your content.

2. Write the body of your article. Rather than focusing on the introduction and the conclusion, start with the body, which tends to be a lot easier. The best way to generate your body is to create a list, say, 4 Key Ways of Selling Your Book. Once you've created the body, it is then time to work on the introduction and the conclusion. The introduction need only be two or three sentences which summarizes the body of your article, and likewise the conclusion need only be two or three sentences that summarizes what you have previously said in the body of your article.

3. Then it is time to check the word count. Then leave the article for at least 24 hours before you read it again to edit and correct any errors. This way, you should have a professionally written article that will match any written by the big boys.
